What is the true hourly cost of an employee?
On costs? What are that? They my-friend, are legally obligated and also optional costs of having an employee. This is CRITICAL maths amiga. If you work for yourself, you probably aren’t factoring it in to your hourly rate, and if you employ someone, have you planned out the full costs?
So what are these mythical magical on-costs I speak of?
Annual leave. Sick leave. Workers compensation. Superannuation (yeah freelancers I’m looking at you with some serious side eye). Public Holidays.
Many larger businesses we work with are unaware of the true hourly cost of employment, and don’t always factor the actual cost into their product pricing, or markup on services.
So we’ve create a nice little calculator. Put in your hourly rate, and it can tell you for a part-time or casual employee the hourly cost.
