About Us

With a huge emphasis being placed on working smarter and more effectively by offering greater flexibility to both those working in the business and to our clients, Bramble and Briar is able to provide a level of service matched by very few in the market place.

The two founding partners, Vita and Sarah are former Big 4 Chartered Accountants, who met as graduates while learning and mastering the trade. After moving on to pursue other opportunities, they came back together to compare notes about the service gaps they saw in the market place.
From this discussion, Bramble and Briar was born.

We understand that you don't work 9-5, so we work around you to get the job done as efficiently and effectively as possible. We're not in the game of 'sucking our clients dry', like so many others in the industry.
We're looking to be a business partner, offering a helpful ear to bounce ideas off and most importantly a trustworthy source of support and guidance.

Bramble and Briar was established because we believe in a new connected style of working.
We have implemented technology INTERSTATE and have never met our client in person. They were fine to have regular online meetings to learn, and have their solution deployed remotely.

We work hard so we can maximise our time at work and at home.

If you have a physical location, invite us to see you where you do your magic. We understand you better, when we know the warehouse you’re talking about, and your team members. We work with your business, not just you.

Vita is a fully legit trained Chartered Accountant, who has retained both personality and passion. Vita likes to hunt down two things: amazing food and answers to business problems.
Vita knows numbers inside and out and will know your profit margin better than you.
Sarah Pilling (she/her)

Partner, Cloud Integration Tax Agent / App enthusiast
Sarah is also a fully legit trained Chartered Accountant, and loves to find easier ways to do things. So if you're looking to grow, streamline and learn new processes, Sarah will understand your why, draw 20 illegible pictures, and then walk you through the options and next steps.

Peter Miulescu (he/him)

Fancypants Accountant
Peter is our resident tax whizz, dance expert and ATO whisperer. You'll often hear from Peter about...tax. He can take a little bit to come out of his shell, but also is in the know about events, movies, music. Definitely has the best social life out of all of the team, so keep him in the loop of any events your business might be running.
Amanda Leonardia (she/her)

Practice Wizard
Amanda is allergic to cats, but herds us like we are the most finicky of felines. She handles all the ASIC requirements, does bookkeeping, and practice management (herding accountants). Amanda has performed at the Women's International Jazz Festival, and is the office DJ.
Purdy Rhodes (she/her)

Social Butterfly Handler
Purdy is a creative trapped into the staid world of accounting. She is our people person, who we entrust to communicate complex things, to people who dislike them being complex (aka you). You might say Purdy does emails, newsletters, and socials, but actually she does communication of all kind, and makes it SOOOO pretty at the same time.
